Your Bridal Shower Party - Finalizing Your Event To Remember

Week Three Of Your Bridal Shower Fun Party
The Final Details

Finalize the Menu and Off You Go Shopping
Now is the time to go out and buy everything that you need. You should start by taking a good look at the plan of your party. Then bearing in mind what theme you've chosen, you can start to make a list of everything you think you need to shop for - for your fun party. It's probably best to start by planning the food and drinks first. Have you decided whether it will be a buffet? Have you thought about home catering or getting an outside caterer to do what could be quite a chore? Of course the number of guests may determine this factor for you.

So you should think about what you will be serving, what plates, bowls and general crockery you will need. How many different kinds of drinks will you serve? Will you use different shaped glasses for each type? a good tip to bear in mind is that it is worth keeping the food to one side of the room with drinks on another. This allows for a more fluid arrangement for the guests to serve themselves and mingle more. It also allows for you to top up and fill up jugs, bowls and plates when necessary.

Then of course there are the games - have you browsed them and decided which games to go for? Then you will need party favors, decorations, are you ready for it all?

Confirming any Reservations
If you have made any reservations - you've decided to eat out - doublecheck that they are being held for you, especially if you already changed the appointment once or twice - dare we say thrice. Also check that you've got enough chairs, tables, plates, glasses and dishes.

Create Your Own Lasting Memories
Arrange for a photographer to capture all the high points of your bridal shower party for the bride. You might even decide to get some disposable cameras to leave around at the bridal shower for anyone to take snaps and then develop the film for the bride-to-be. You can add a sticky label saying something like "Use me and wash me". You should definitely arrange to take photos of all the guests together with the bride-to-be before anyone leaves. You can then send their photo inside their thank you note. Did we remember to budget for the thankyou notes? - Well that's really after the party, like tidying up! It's worth making sure you have a system for recording who gave what gifts - it helps the bride-to-be when coming to write the thankyou notes.

Day of Your Shower Party!
This is the time when all your efforts come to fruition. Always keep that happy smile on your face as you greet all the guests. If indeed you are not the bride-to-be, make sure she has the opportunity to meet everyone too. Lastly but not leastly, do remember to enjoy the day and join in with all the fun!
