Creating a baby footprint in ink becomes a great option by using the various kits available.  They invariably use non-toxic ink, and this method is particularly easy for very young babies of under three or four months.  The baby footprint frame kits are an excellent choice, though you can also get cheaper products without.  It's not essential to buy a baby print kit as you could just get a simple paint kit and create many different little body prints by using different colours of ink.

Another fun thing is to order in a baby footprint stamp and let the children play around with printing and painting. Of course, if you had a baby footprint image and made an outline of it. You could try cutting a potato in half and let the kids carve a footprint or handprint, anything in fact, and put their baby footprint stamps in regular patterns to create some artisitic family fun. These are great for family reunions and general baby crafts.  Of course it gets a bit messy but that's just another part of the fun.  You can also have fun composing little baby poems  -  a nice thing to do in the group and get everyone laughing.  In the end, you may end up with the precious baby keepsake you will only be too happy to frame.
